Our name means a lot to us; it comes from the concept of squaring the circle, a metaphor for solving challenges that are seemingly impossible. For us it represents possibility, transformation and the moment when complexity becomes clarity. It captures what we do every day: helping people bridge the gap between strategy and people, turning complexity into clarity and helping people make progress on what matters most.

Becky Williams

Meet Becky Williams

Becky’s career hasn’t been conventional, and that’s exactly what makes her approach different.

She started her career in retail before opening a coffee shop at 22. Not a first choice, but a necessary one she built it from nothing, navigated a recession, and eventually sold it on to pursue a new direction.

That experience of starting over, backing yourself and finding a way through has shaped everything she does. It embodies her belief that anything is possible, and is why Squared Circle, as a concept, means so much to her. Professional Journey

After graduating in PR, Becky spent several years working agency side in London before returning to Bristol, her home city. During the last 17 years she has worked across public, private and not-for-profit organisations in sectors including housing, defence, health and higher education. Holding senior positions from Head of Communications to Director, she has delivered strategic communication, public engagement, reputation management, internal communications, and large-scale change and transformation programmes.

Becky’s work has been recognised across the industry, from sector-specific awards for her communications leadership during Covid-19 to being named Communications Leader of the Year at the Simply’s in 2024. This reflects both the breadth of her experience and the impact of her work.

She is an active member of both the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the Institute of Internal Communications (IoIC), co-chaired the CIPR Inside sector group in 2024, and serves as a Trustee of Iprovision, the CIPR’s benevolent fund. Having achieved Chartered status in 2023, she is a passionate advocate for the professionalisation of communications and supports others through mentoring and the sharing of insight.

Alongside her consultancy work, Becky is a qualified coach and Prosci change management practitioner, coaching leaders and teams to communicate with clarity, confidence and authenticity.
